Our December Giving Campaign Begins: A Journey Towards Healing

When we first stepped inside the duplex that will soon become Ashley’s House, we saw more than just walls and rooms. We envisioned a space where women and their children can breathe, rebuild, and belong again. As we approach our ambitious goal of opening our doors on January 1, this vision becomes more real every day.

A Home Designed for Healing

The property is structured as a duplex, providing ample space for community, privacy, and growth. Across two units, the home offers:

  • Multiple bedrooms that allow us to support up to nine residents.

  • Two family-friendly living rooms where connections can flourish.

  • A shared kitchen and dining area where daily routines become healing rituals.

  • Two bathrooms that will need to be well stocked with essentials.

  • Quiet corners for reflection, naps, feedings, and moments of calm.

  • Space for life skills workshops, peer support, and recovery conversations.

Community Support and Donations

We have secured a large portion of the furniture already, thanks to incredibly generous donors. Couches, beds, dressers, and children’s items are beginning to fill the space. These contributions remind us why this work matters. However, as we walk through each room and prepare for residents, we continue to discover additional needs.

Pillows, towels, basic household supplies, cleaning items, safety equipment, and everyday essentials will help make this house a true home. Each item contributes to creating a nurturing environment for those who will reside here.

Ashley’s House

We are immensely grateful for every person who has supported Ashley’s House so far. Your donations, shares, encouragement, and belief in this vision mean more than we can express. Thanks to you, we are getting closer every day to opening our doors on January 1 and welcoming women and children into a safe and supportive home.

The Importance of Case Management and Life Skills

As we prepare for our opening, we want to emphasize the crucial components of our program: case management, life skills, and peer support. These elements will play a vital role in helping residents navigate their recovery journey.

Case management will ensure that each woman receives personalized support tailored to her unique needs. Life skills training will empower residents with the tools they need to thrive independently. Peer support will foster a sense of community and understanding, allowing women to connect with others who share similar experiences.

We will be sharing photos soon as the rooms come together, the furniture is placed, and Ashley’s House truly starts to look and feel like the haven it is meant to be. Thank you for walking alongside us and helping hope take shape.

How You Can Help

If you are interested in supporting Ashley’s House as we prepare for opening day, we still have several necessary expenses and household items to cover. Our Amazon wishlist remains open for anyone who would like to purchase items directly. Financial contributions also help us cover utilities, insurance, program supplies, and the remaining furnishings needed to make the home move-in ready.

Every contribution brings us one step closer to welcoming women and their children into a safe and stable home. Thank you for helping make this vision possible. Together, we can create a supportive community that fosters healing and growth.
