Supportive Recovery Housing: A Vision for Western Wisconsin

At Peer Perspective Inc., we are committed to addressing the significant gaps in recovery resources across Western Wisconsin. Our vision is bold yet simple: to create Supportive Recovery Housing—a safe, structured, and empowering environment where women can rebuild their lives with dignity, support, and hope.

As we grow, we aim to expand our services to include women with children, recognizing the urgent need for family-focused recovery housing in our region. Together, we can create a community where healing is possible for everyone.

Why This Matters

Right now, Western Wisconsin has very few options for recovery housing, especially for women and families. Without a safe and supportive environment, the journey to recovery becomes even more challenging.

Our Supportive Recovery Housing program will fill this gap by providing:

  • A stable living space where women can focus on their recovery.

  • Peer support from individuals who have walked a similar path, offering guidance, connection, and hope.

  • A structured program designed to foster personal growth, accountability, and long-term success.

This isn’t just housing—it’s a lifeline for women and families who deserve a second chance.

Our Vision for the Program

Our recovery housing program is designed to empower women to take control of their lives and build a brighter future. Here’s what it will look like:

Program Structure

  1. Safe and Supportive Environment

    • A welcoming, substance-free home where residents can feel secure and supported.

    • Access to essential utilities, furniture, and household items to create a comfortable living space.

  2. Peer-Led Support

    • Regular check-ins and group meetings to foster connection and community.

  3. Structured Programming

    • Life skills training, including budgeting, job readiness, and parenting support.

    • Access to recovery resources, counseling, and wellness activities.

    • A focus on personal growth, goal-setting, and long-term independence.

  4. Family-Focused Expansion

    • As we grow, we will create spaces for women with children, ensuring families can heal together.

    • Child-friendly programming and resources to support both mothers and their children.

Program Rules (Summarized)

To ensure a safe and productive environment, residents will be expected to:

  • Contribute to household responsibilities and respect shared living spaces.

  • Work toward personal goals, such as employment, education, or reunification with family.
